got a call back today, first big-boy interview tomorrow. I gotta take a Fr*ckin test and I’m probably not first in line for consideration bc I don’t have much experience but I’m happy to be in the running.

i might listen to nothing but rnb and dancehall for a month and could still make music completely unlike it but still very exclusively inspired by those vibes. on the surface it might not make sense but it's the best way to create anything. any kind of art. being inspired by one thing and creating something that sounds like it is barely even inspired honestly

people can also debate for as long as they want about music being good because its _____ technically. but like bring it back to the rawness and that shit doesn't matter. i realised when i was like 13 even before i knew how to really play any instrument that technicality didn't make anything good. very simple concept that so many musicians don't understand. most people who don't play music understand it subconsciously. music is good purely if u react to it in whatever way. that's when i really appreciate artists who namecheck super pop music or whatever.. but make music completely unlike it. they get it. the energies. they get it

Hmmm, I feel like the rule of thumb with emailing files is the fewer the better, which is why I was leaning towards doing 1 pdf but idk, I guess they’d be prepared for lots of attachments if that’s how they’re taking applications.
